Registration
Registration is open for the GLGC Ground School 2025.
This year we offer two options for ground school.
The course fee is $350 for club members, $450 for others, taxes excluded. Payment will be required upfront, before the start of the course. A refund of $100.00 will be made if you joining the club in 2025.
Option 1 - IN-PERSON COURSE
An in-person course in the Toronto / Mississagua area presented by Mike Morgulis, Instructor and Transport Canada Approved Person.
We are exploring the option of 11 course nights from 19h00 to 21h30 over 11 Tuesday evening or 6 course days on a Saturday covering two subjects per day.
Classes should start 11 February at 19h00 or 15 Ferbruary at 10h00 in 2025.

Option 2 - ON-LINE COURSE
An on-line course delivered by interactive webinar hosted by David Donaldson, Instructor and SAC Safety Officer.
Classes start mid February 2025. Lessons will be held one night per week for two hours till mid April, normally from 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm. on Tuesdays.

Books and peripherals required
The Soaring Association of Canada (SAC) manual, SOAR and Learn to Glide and the updated file may be downloaded or will be supplied by your club.
Maps will need to be acquired by course attendees and are available from a variety of vendors.

"From the Ground Up" by Sandy A.F. MacDonald is also recommended reading.
